The Live Long podcast:

About

A podcast that explores the science and stories behind human longevity

The Live Long podcast features a series of in-depth, one-on-one conversations exploring the science of healthy aging. Host Peter Bowes speaks with leading researchers, forward thinkers, and biohackers — all united by a shared mission: to better understand how we can maintain our health and vitality as we grow older.

Alongside these experts, we also hear from individuals who are living examples of aging well — people whose stories offer both insight and inspiration.

Our belief is simple: there’s a lot we can do to extend our healthspan — the period of life we spend in good health, free from chronic illness. Through thoughtful conversations, we dive into topics like exercise, nutrition, sleep, social connection, and more.

We always welcome your thoughts and suggestions. Is there a topic you’d like us to cover? Let us know — your input helps shape the conversation.

Guest pitches

Want to be a guest on the Live Long Podcast?

If you’re an expert with a compelling story or insight to share — or a publicist representing someone who fits the bill — we’d be delighted to hear from you.

We’re particularly interested in interviewing scientists, physicians, authors, journalists, and thought-leaders who bring fresh perspectives and evidence-based insights to the conversation around healthy aging.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Leading experts in their field, with original research or well-informed viewpoints to share.
  • Great communicators who can explain complex scientific ideas in a way that’s clear, engaging, and accessible to a broad audience.
  • Content aligned with our mission: We focus on science-backed strategies for extending healthspan — the years we live in good health — through lifestyle interventions such as exercise, nutrition, sleep, and social connection.
  • Preventive focus: We’re more interested in what people can do earlier in life to age well, rather than treatments for specific diseases or issues related to elder care or disability, which are better covered elsewhere.
  • Critical thinkers: We welcome healthy skepticism and thoughtful discussion around trends and claims in the longevity space.
  • Inspiring individuals: Stories from people who are thriving in later life — including centenarians — are especially welcome. We value the wisdom that comes from real-world experience and long lives well-lived.

If this sounds like a fit, please get in touch.
